On February 16, 2011, the Sharon Township Board of Trustees passed Resolution 02162011B entitled “Establishing the Regulation and Registration of Transient Vendors.” The Fiscal Officer was “authorized to establish any and all reasonable regulations and procedures to implement
this Resolution.”

Per Sharon Township Resolution No. 02162011B: Transient Vendors shall be permitted to sell, offer for sale, or solicit orders for goods door-to-door or location-to-location only during the following times:
Between the hours of 9:00 am and 6:00 pm on weekdays
Between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm on Saturdays
Prohibited on Sundays and legal holidays
Transient Vendors shall not sell, offer for sale, or solicit orders for goods door-to-door or location-to-location where signage has been posted stating that the owner/occupant does not want salespeople, solicitations, or transient salespeople or vendors on the property. i.e.: “NO SALESMAN” or “NO SOLICITATIONS” or Sharon Township’s “No Solicitor” sign.
While conducting business in Sharon Township, Transient Vendors must have their Transient Vendor Permit and a valid form of identification with a photograph on their person. Permit and photo identification must be shown upon request of any law enforcement officer or any person from whom they seek to solicit or with whom they seek to conduct business.
