Snow removal is done on an as needed basis 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  The Police Department monitors the road conditions and calls the Road Superintendent when service is required.  Sharon Township tries to minimize the use of salt by only applying the minimum amount of salt needed to keep the roads safe for travel.  During heavy snow falls when streets need cleared several times during the event, salt is only used on dangerous hills, intersections, and at stop signs as needed.  Once all snow plowing is completed, salt is used as needed to finish clearing roadways.  This helps reduce Township costs and the impact on the environment.

When digging (excavating) within the Township right-of-way you will need a Permit to Excavate from Sharon Township. Click the button below to download the permit application.

Additionally, here is the link to the Application to install an underground utility:

Building permits, Zoning, and Development in Sharon Township are done through Franklin County Economic Development and Planning.
