Christmas Tree & Yard Waste Collection

If you did not already know, Sharon Township has yard waste pickup included with your Local Waste services! Three trucks come around each Monday to collect trash, recycling and yard waste.

Yard waste is required to be completely separated from trash, since it is not allowed in the landfill, but can still be placed at the curb next to your trash and recycling. Yard waste includes grass clippings, branches, sticks, leaves, logs and plant material. Soil, vegetables/food, rocks and pebbles, treated wood and pet waste must be placed in the trash.

Disposal Requirements:

• Paper yard waste bags (purchased at lawn/garden stores)

• Permanent containers plainly marked with “Yard Waste” labels that can be obtained from Local Waste by calling (614) 409-9375

• Brush & Christmas Trees must be bundled tightly with string or twine no longer than 4 ft. in length and no larger than 2ft. in diameter. If it’s a large Christmas tree, it must be cut in half and bundled

·        All bags, cans and bundles must weigh less than 50lbs
